BLC: Change is Beautiful, Isn’t it?

Thank you, Autumn, for reminding us that change is beautiful. Our residents begin their journey as an independent resident in an apartment such as the Long House or one of our villa units in Timber Woods. Then, when needed they have been able to receive skilled nursing and rehabilitation from our professional rehabilitation team at either Village Care Center or The Seasons @ Alexandria. Some had gone into Personal Care when they needed some additional services and supervision and then eventually were able to relax in the environment of long-term skilled nursing. While all transitions in life can be scary, BLC embraces their residents in this journey of their life. We also believe that while some feel slowing down is the beginning of the end, we disagree completely. This is the time where BLC invites the retirement community to live their very best life with us! Living life to the fullest is a wonderful thing, right?

Joy:

While you are living independently, many of the everyday issues of owning property are taken care of for you. Go out and enjoy the fun in life, at BLC residents regularly attend concerts, family holiday dinners, festivals, car shows, and Hawaiian luaus as well. Every resident is a unique and treasured member. Joy is a beautiful thing, isn’t it?

Transition:

BLC is here to embrace our residents and their families with encouragement and advice on making the right decisions from the very beginning of transitioning lifestyle. We offer services that include a full range of in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation, personal care apartments,  different levels of memory care, skilled nursing and full care options. Options are great, aren’t they?

Spiritual Care:

The Chaplains at BLC desire to be empathetic and responsive when comforting others. We desire to provide meaningful expressions of encouragement in an ecumenical manner to all traditions and faith groups. We thrive to be engaging, uplifting, and intentional in our efforts to assist with spiritual loneliness, fear, boredom, grief and much more. Medical research has shown what Baptist Life Communities have known for over fifty years – an active spiritual life enhances physical, mental, and emotional health. Spiritual Care is an important part of life, wouldn’t you agree?
