Since 1952, Baptist Life Communities (BLC) has been a premier senior living community in Northern Kentucky. We understand that you and your family may have many questions about senior living and the accommodations at BLC. We have listed answers to some common questions here.
FAQs: Village Care Center
What are the visiting hours?
Our residents enjoy visiting with their loved ones. You are welcome to visit anytime. We ask that you be respectful of the routine of residents with earlier bedtimes and not be disruptive to those sleeping by visiting late in the evening.
Are Wi-Fi and cable provided at the facility?
Yes. Wi-Fi and cable are provided at Village Care Center.
Will I have a full kitchen in my assisted living apartment?
Each assisted living apartment is equipped with a full-size refrigerator/freezer, cabinets, and a sink. Residents are encouraged to gather in the spacious and beautiful community dining room for meals.
Can pets visit?
Pets can visit, but an up-to-date vaccine record is required before visiting. Pet owners are responsible for the actions of their pets and must always keep them in their control.
Is smoking permitted on campus?
We are a smoke-free campus.

What are the visiting hours?

What time are meals served?
Exact mealtimes vary per neighborhood. Meals are typically served:
Breakfast: 8:15 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00 p.m.
Dinner: 5:00–5:15 p.m.
Will I have a full kitchen in my assisted living apartment?
Each assisted living apartment is equipped with a full-size refrigerator/freezer, cabinets, and a sink. Residents are encouraged to gather in the spacious and beautiful community dining room for meals.
Is a phone provided?
Phones are only provided for short-term residents. Long-term and assisted living residents will need to provide their own phone.
Can I get rehab while I live there?
Yes, we have a fully equipped therapy gym on campus. Our team of experienced and skilled therapists, nurses, and physicians will create a plan customized to your specific needs with you. Our goal is to personalize the therapy for you to be able to return to your normal routine as quickly as possible. Outpatient therapy is available as well.
FAQs for Long House
Is transportation provided for appointments or shopping?
Transportation is not provided. But we schedule an outing every week with activities that are offered to residents.
Can I have my own car if I live at Long House?
Yes, residents are welcome to keep their cars in our parking lot and can come and go as they please if they still drive.
What time are meals typically served?
Hot breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m. in the dining room.
Continental breakfast: 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.
Dinner: 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Do the apartments have washers and dryers?
There is a laundry room on each end of the halls where residents and caregivers can do laundry.
What happens if I get sick or fall during the night? Can anyone help me?
A Resident Care Aide is on site 24/7. We also provide each resident with a safety pendant for falls and emergencies.
Is internet/cable included in my rent?
Basic cable and utilities are included in your rent. We also have Wi-Fi in public areas, but personal internet and phone services are not included in your package.
