BLC’S Bucket List Program

BLC’S BUCKET LIST PROGRAM

It’s never too early and never too late for a person to begin a bucket list. Making a list is simple – finishing the list should take approximately one lifetime. Sometimes, life can get in the way of fully achieving one’s bucket list. Suddenly, you have more yesterdays than tomorrows.

In January of 2016, the Village Care Center (VCC) Bucket List Program was born. This was a way for Baptist Life Communities to make dreams come true and share precious memories with our residents.

The Bucket List Program was designed to bring joy to all BLC residents…on their own terms. Therefore, the Bucket List Program is for each and every resident, regardless of physical limitations. Most Nursing homes are viewed as places for life to end; however, that is not what BLC is about. BLC is a place to live. We are a community focused on person-centered care, individualized to exceed the personal expectations and needs of each and every resident. It is our intention to create joyful memories through the Bucket List Program and more. Some of our favorite Bucket List memories include tubing off the back of a boat on a beautiful lake, attending a professional basketball game, flying high on an airplane ride, a 5k walk, and even taking friends and family to a casino.

The Bucket List Program is made possible due to fundraisers such as our “Biggest Loser Challenge,” as well as the generosity and support of staff, family, friends and our surrounding community. Without them, these priceless memories would not be possible.

Since 1952, Baptist Life Communities has been the largest non-profit provider of housing, healthcare, and beneficial services for those 55+ in Northern Kentucky. To find out more about BLC, we invite you to visit our website at www.blcnky.com or call our corporate offices at (859) 283-8600.
