On December 3, 2019, join the #GivingTuesday movement across the Nation and give -whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or your voice in your local community. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
At Baptist Life Communities we welcome individuals or groups who would like to volunteer, sponsor an activity or event or participate in the enhancement of our gardens. Your generosity is much appreciated and will immediately impact the lives of our residents!
Break the stigma of consumerism this holiday season. #GivingTuesday uses the power of social media, hashtags, and end-of-the-year tax deductions to encourage charity work and donations to nonprofit organizations. BLC is a nonprofit, faith-based community providing programs, services, and active living options for those 55 and older. Individuals who choose to donate to BLC will be enhancing the lives of seniors who live within one of our communities or receive health care or therapy services.
The Giving Tree
Sizable donations are recognized with gold, silver, or copper leaves placed upon our “Giving Tree” a part of the beautiful decor in the reception area of The Seasons @Alexandria campus. “One person gives freely, yet gains even more.” Proverbs 11:24
In Memory of Gifts
These gifts enable individuals to make a gift in memory of a friend or loved one. Memory gifts can be done at the time of death or on the anniversary or an important date, such as a birthday or holiday. There are also ways to make a significant future gift while retaining or increasing the income you receive from the asset used to make the gift. These gifts entitle you to a current charitable tax deduction limited to the portion of the gift that will ultimately pass to the charitable organization.
Baptist Life Communities is thankful for our residents, our staff who take care of them, and the families of our residents. At BLC, our goal is to enhance your lifestyle with quality choices provided by a dedicated and thankful staff. Since 1952, BLC has been steadily changing and growing, and we continue on this journey today. Learn more about giving to BLC this #GivingTuesday by clicking here!
