Since 1952, Baptist Convalescent Center in Newport, Kentucky has been home to a portion of the Baptist Life Communities family, including residents and staff. Now, in 2017, with increasing growth and an aging building, we are quickly approaching the transition into our new location “The Seasons @ Alexandria”. Part of our Transition Team includes BCC Administrator of 10+ years, Donna Frodge, our CEO, Dr. Robert Long, our CFO, Brad Stewart, our Director of Maintenance, Rodney Kannady, and our very dedicated nursing management team who have worked tirelessly on the details of this move. Other critical members of the Transition Team include BCC staff, consisting of Unit Managers, our Chaplain, Activities Director, Dietary and many more who are providing the insights needed to make this transition as smooth as possible for our BCC family. In late 2017, all of the sleepless nights, early mornings, cups of coffee, phone calls, emails, blueprints, bricks, and boards will come together to form The Seasons @ Alexandria campus.
The Seasons @ Alexandria, Phase #1 focuses on Health Care and will include a full range of Therapies, Memory care, Personal Care and Skilled Nursing options. Daily life will be filled with lots of activity, spiritual programs, delicious meal options, and overall resident-focused life. Our staff will no longer wear medical scrubs. Do your family members wear scrubs in your home? Ours don’t either, which is why we made this decision! The Seasons @ Alexandria is a residential environment and our plan is to create a warm, inviting atmosphere where residents, family and friends are able to relax and feel comfortable. Phase #2, which will come later, will introduce independent living options.
The buildings and halls at The Seasons @ Alexandria are named after a type of tree indigenous to the state of Kentucky. The Memory and Personal Care apartments, as well as Skilled Nursing rooms and Therapy Department have been carefully designed to exceed expectations of this 55+ community.
